read it, you won't be sorry

This morning I checked my e-mail to find a message from Shari of the glass doorknob. I'm a big fan of her blog. I love Shari's eye for beauty and her general take on life. That lady knows how to live. Before opening her e-mail, I knew I was in for a treat.

She attended a book reading in her town ~ the author was Joni Tevis. Shari sent a link to an essay she thought I might like: "Beyond the Wilderness." I didn't like it, I LOVED it. As I replied to Shari, "After I finished reading it, I was like, 'Wow. What a great short story. Wait. This is an ESSAY.'" I don't exaggerate much to say that I nearly drooled on my laptop. I was highly inspired.

Carve out some time this afternoon or evening, brew a cup of tea or coffee, or shake up a cocktail, and read that essay. Like I said, you won't be sorry.

Thank you, Shari. You rule.
