What did I do all this rainy day? Something productive? Read good, brain-feeding books? Nope. I hopped on facebook.
My main motivation was to join a high school alumni group. But as I created my facebook profile, I realized that my nephew (my sister-in-law's son) was right. All during the Christmas '07 holidays, Jonathan kept saying how much better facebook was than MySpace. It's not that I didn't believe him, but I just thought, "MySpace is MySpace. And it's not all that great. What's the deal with facebook?"
Well, aesthetic relief for one. No offense to people and TheirSpaces, but MySpace hurts me visually. Even my OwnSpace. facebook has a cleaner look, and it's SO MUCH easier to update. I would leave MySpace in a second except that my brother recently joined, and I'm rather fond of him. I won't leave MySpace without Jody, but I'm here to say - I prefer facebook. If you want to know, you can find me here.
The major accomplishment, however, is that I persuaded my hubby to join facebook. He resisted MySpace 'til the end, but he did spend a few hours on facebook today. I'm just sayin'.
To make Johnny feel better for selling out to facebook, tonight we'll eat his amazing, homemade beef/veggie stir fry and watch a Battlestar Galactica (we're in season 2.0). Or Good Night, and Good Luck.

Congratulations, and welcome to the light side.
Thank you, "sfs." You were right!
Hey, how is Battlestar Galactica? I've been thinking about watching the DVDs, but I can't decide if I want to get involved with another series.
Facebook is much better than MySpace. And Good Night, and Good Luck was a good choice.
I've been hearing quite a bit about Battlestar Galactica. Perhaps I should check it out.
Kerry - you need to get very involved with the Battlestar series. Trust me.
Hi, Lindsay - you also need to get very involved with Battlestar.
