all that a web site should be

Speaking of [some of] my favorite songwriters, Andy Osenga is certainly on the list. The Simmonses are a little late to the game since we started drooling over Osenga's songwriting via Caedmon's Call (you gotta pick up Share the Well). We think he's hilarious, too. So, his blog is one of my daily reads, but when I clicked on the link this morning, my eyes feasted on his brand new site. Holy cow, it looks fantastic ~ that's how a musician's web site should look.

He offers free songs, too, though it never hurts to give $$ to support the hard work of independent musicians. I quite highly recommend Letters to the Editor, Vol. 1. And, I finally got my act together and purchased another Andy Osenga album, Photographs. Every single song is truly great, but lately, "Too Far to Walk" in particular haunts my mind in the sweetest way:

"Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
I did what I planned to do
And I feel like I knew I would feel
Now I want to come back to You

My mind is thick and it’s dirty
My heart, it ran to hide
My plans proved I don’t know what I’m doing
Cause I used to feel alive

[Chorus]
There’s an angel on my left shoulder
And ten devils on my right
Jesus, you’ll have to come get me
Cause it’s too far to walk tonight

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
How can I explain
These promises scattered
‘Round the floor by the bed
Like dinner clothes after a date

I get scared that forgiveness
Is for better people
So I give up trying to fight
Jesus, you’ll have to come get me
Cause it’s too far to walk tonight

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
How precious is that name
And while you’re forgiving
I’m sorry I forget
That you came for sinners to save

[Chorus]
There’s an angel on my left shoulder
And ten devils on my right
Jesus, you’ll have to come get me
Cause it’s too far to walk tonight
."

There are freaking lots of CDs to buy this month, but I do believe I'll be racing to catch up with Andy Osenga's discography, including The Normals. It's never too late, thank God.

Hey there...no worries about the email; I went back through your whole blog and found some stuff :-). I felt like I was stalking for a while!! I may still have random questions about the diet but I do have a general list of stuff to avoid and what to eat to get me started. And I've done a lot of web & book research on it as a matter of necessity - I was just diagnosed with Valley Fever again (another kind of fungus we can get out in the southwest). The most interesting thing I've read - several times - is that it's necessary to rotate the kill off herbs/drugs protocol. Is that something that you do?

Heather ~ Feel free to e-mail me w/any diet questions and I promise to reply sooner. I do not rotate Nystatin (antifungal drug), but it might be wise to do so with antifungal herbs. I'm just not sure....

Nicole ~ Great CDs are good for the soul.

Hi, Claire ~ I've seen you comment on Kierstin's, blog, right? Nice to "meet" you.
