the liturgy of a neighborhood

[holy water ~ click to see larger]

Well, our vacation in Nashville was amazing. I'll blog about it next week. Today, I have a new article up at The Curator: "The Liturgy of a Neighborhood." Happy reading, I hope . . .

And enjoy The Curator's facelift ~ Alissa did it again. She's pretty much the best.

truly loved your article, jenni. just beautiful. and i love that johnny orders his cappuccino wet with organic milk - now if it is whole milk, we're definitely kindred spirits.

Thank you, Kate! Johnny does prefer whole milk. The four of us really need to hang out, huh? :)

Jenni,
I echo Kate in saying this was beautiful. I really enjoyed reading it, and I find myself thinking similar thoughts about my new neighborhood...or at least I hope to find the liturgy and rituals in our new 'hood soon.

For the record, the coffee shop and bookstore sound amazing. Would love a place like that around us!

What beautiful words. Thanks for this. Getting my hair cut today, I thought about how much I love this place, this town where we live in NC, as the train rumbled through, cutting the east and west routes of our little Main Street in two. You've put ink to the feelings in my heart. B.
