We All Have Our Birds

I forgot to mention that Johnny's sister put two signs in our front yard in lieu of his 40th birthday party. One was a "Happy 40th!" and the other was a pink flamingo. My Mom has a thing for pink flamingos*, so we saved that sign for her, safe in our backyard:



And a friend gave me a soft blue bird hook as a housewarming gift that I finally placed in our bathroom along with a necklace I found at Whole Earth Provisions Co.:







* We also purchased a string of pink flamingo lights for my Mom while spending an evening in Galveston with Johnny's family. Should I encourage my Mom's flamingo affair? She's so cute - I really can't help myself.
