happy radiohead day!

I'm sure you've already heard, but I am very excited to announce that Radiohead released a brand new album today: In Rainbows. If you order the digital download, you pay the price of your choice, no gimmick. I pre-ordered the download and in my excitement, I miscalculated the conversion from British pounds to American dollars, so we paid $21.00 for a CD. That's OK. I don't mind spoiling one of my favorite bands. I'm not prepared to list my top 10 favorite CDs of all time, but Radiohead's OK Computer would definitely be on the list. I also love Thom Yorke's The Eraser, so I'm an all-around loyal, slobbering Radiohead fan.

I listened to In Rainbows while making breakfast and it is fantastic! I'm stuck on the songs "15 Step" and "All I Need", but the whole CD is great. As long as we're discussing music, my brother hipped me to Regina Spektor who is coming to Houston in November. Dang, that girl can sing! Yes ma'am/sir, the three of us are going to her show.

In other news, I just stepped outside to take out the trash and Houston is 81 degrees, but the air is much less humid, and for us, that is a clear sign of autumn. Time for one of those sunshine walks.

Yesterday I forgot to mention a song that has carried me through the health treatment: "Shine Your Light on Us" by the Robbie Seay Band. For now, you can hear that song on the band's MySpace page. Or buy the album - Give Yourself Away - on iTunes for $7.99. Take a listen and take heart.

I haven't listened to the whole thing yet. I like the two songs you mentioned a lot, and the others I have heard so far are also great.

I remember when I first heard Radiohead - it was when OK Computer was released. I obviously wasn't the first to jump on the bandwagon, huh? They're great though. Definately a cool addition.

I think OK Computer was my Radiohead introduction, too, so you're not alone!
