41

I interrupt my blog hiatus to share four things.

:: One, if you frequent facebook and are so inclined, you can become a fan of The Curator ~ IAM's forthcoming web publication for which I'll be writing. Just visit my facebook profile and look through my pages. Here's an excerpt from The Curator's fan-page:

".... seeks to inspire people to hope, engage deeply into the depth of culture’s critical zones, and create a world that ought to be.

In keeping with IAM’s belief that artistic excellence, as a model of 'what ought to be', paves the way for lasting, enduring humanity,
The Curator seeks to encourage, promote, and uncover those artifacts of culture – those things which humans create - that inspire, ask important questions, and embody truth, goodness, and beauty."

:: Two, lately 'round here, we've been watching either The Colbert Report or The Soup (E!) at night. Though I tend to be more serious than my hubby, I do like to laugh, and both of those shows crack me up, no matter my mood (Joel McHale is the best Soup host ever; Greg Kinnear is a close second). For those of you who don't have cable, please enjoy this clip where Colbert pokes fun at my fellow Anglicans:

:: Three, I might post a few phenomenal quotes on books for calvin this weekend. Maybe a poem, too. I've been feeding my brain lots of creative writing-food, and such words are too good not to share.

:: Four, my husband turns a very sexy 41 on Monday, but we're having a few friends over tonight, to thank God and celebrate! Sangria is chillin' in the fridge and we're about to whip up my aunt's to-die-for carrot cake. During the par-tay, Johnny will switch back & forth from bartender to barista which he enjoys. Whether you want a martini or cappuccino, he's on it. I'll brew a cup of tea if you'd rather.

Happy early birthday, Sweets!
