This entry should be placed on books for calvin, but I've been pondering whether I'm a 2-blogs kind of girl or not. For now, books for calvin is on hiatus. So, allow me to share my excitement here.... There's a new Kathleen Norris book, people! Acedia & Me: a Marriage, Monks, and a Writer's Life is fairly inexpensive if you pre-order on Amazon.

[photo repeat ~ a back issue of Books & Culture + tea]I read a great review of Ms. Norris in the latest Books & Culture last night. Right below on the same page is a review of Culture Making by Andy Crouch (the review was written by Gideon Strauss, editor of Comment). I keep hearing amazing things about this book. It's on my to-read list, of course.
Oh, and the new TOAST catalog arrived, beautiful as ever. I'm wishing the katrina shoulder bag was much cheaper - it's easy on the eyes.
