The Best Little Notebook in Italy

I read a warning on Craig Clevenger's site that "the Moleskine company is up for sale, which means the death of the greatest notebook ever made." Although Johnny pointed out that whoever purchases the Moleskine company will most likely produce The Perfect Notebooks in the same fashion (seeing as they sell so well), I still panicked! Along with Paper Blanks, Moleskines are indeed the best notebook ever made. Sleek, smooth black cover, cloth bookmark, acid-free paper, and the pocket that won my heart. I fought against greed and only purchased three: a pocket and large ruled notebook for me, and a pocket music notebook for Johnny. I ordered from Swiss Knife Shop which granted me free first class shipping.

Perhaps you should heed Clevenger's warning?

And perhaps this guy is Moleskine's #1 fan?

When Moleskines first appeared on the market a few years ago, I figured they would disappear quickly, so I stocked up on them. (Didn't bother to cache things for Y2K, but this was more serious.) Now I've got a drawer full of them, so I'll be safe for the time being. But yeah, I think Johnny is right -- the only reason to buy the company would be to keep a good thing going.
